We analyzed profiles of 18 companies and product lines across admissions: application rails, CRMs, discovery sites, marketplaces, and engagement tools.
We found that no player controls the whole funnel. Application rails manage submission (Common App, Coalition, Liaison International). Enrollment CRMs control institutional workflow (Technolutions Slate, Salesforce Education Cloud, Element451, EAB). Discovery sites attract student attention (BigFuture, Niche, Appily, Studyportals). Cross-border marketplaces control cross-border volume (IDP, Navitas, ApplyBoard, Adventus, Shorelight). And engagement tools control communication (Unibuddy, Mainstay).
The largest reported organization-wide revenues among these profiles are College Board, the parent of BigFuture (approximately $1.17 billion), Navitas (approximately $650 million), and IDP (approximately $582 million).
We found that no player controls the whole funnel.
