UniPaith Cookies And Technology Notice
1 What This Notice Covers
This notice explains cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies used with the UniPaith website, free Blog, student application, and related checkout and account services. Pure Sunlight LLC operates UniPaith. Read this notice with the Privacy Policy. Contact help@unipaith.co about technology or privacy choices.
The technologies present depend on the page, feature, deployment, and choices you use. We do not describe a website as free of third party data processing merely because it does not set an advertising cookie.
2 Cookies And Browser Storage
A cookie is a small value a website stores in a browser and may send with later requests. Local storage can retain values across browser sessions; session storage normally lasts for one tab session. Similar technologies include network requests, scripts, identifiers, and performance measurements. Some of these operate without a cookie.
These technologies can support sign in, session security, remembering a preference, restoring a draft, loading content, completing a payment, detecting misuse, or measuring how a page performs. We distinguish purposes rather than treating every technology as advertising.
3 Necessary Account And Security Functions
Authentication and account services use information necessary to establish and protect a session. The current App architecture uses Amazon Cognito, including its managed authentication cookie where that sign in flow is used. Browser storage may also hold authentication state. Session lifetimes and refresh behavior are controlled by the applicable authentication flow and can change for security reasons.
Security and payment providers may process identifiers and device or connection information to prevent fraud, protect account access, and validate requests. Blocking essential technologies may prevent sign in, payment, or access to subscribed content. These functions are not a consent mechanism for unrelated marketing.
4 Preferences Drafts And Optional Features
Where the relevant App tools are available, browser storage can remember preferences such as font size, accessibility settings, reduced motion, or a previously selected appearance. Account scoped drafts and per tab state can help preserve work or navigation. Logging out or changing accounts clears the authentication and account draft state managed by those controls; some display preferences may remain until you clear them.
Mailing signup forms and dialogs collect the information and choice shown when you use them. A mailing list preference is not permission for unrelated tracking. If a feature stores a dismissal or another preference, its purpose and available controls will be explained with that feature.
5 Content Fonts And Performance Measurement
The website requests content and assets from hosting and content providers, including Vercel and Sanity, and loads fonts through Adobe Fonts. Requests can include a page address, IP address, browser or device information, and other information needed to deliver and protect the resource. Adobe states that its embedded font service does not set or use cookies; that does not mean that loading a font involves no network request.
Published website pages can use Vercel Speed Insights where that service is enabled. It sends performance measurements and related technical context to help identify loading and interaction problems. Performance measurement is described separately from advertising or cross site tracking.
Before activating optional measurement that requires consent under applicable law, we provide the required notice and choice. A preference setting alone does not mean that a particular collection system is active. Consent to a subscription or mailing list covers those purposes and is not used as permission for unrelated tracking.
6 Checkout And Payment Management
Stripe Checkout, Managed Payments, and Link are separate hosted services used for eligible transactions. They can use cookies, local storage, device information, and similar technologies for checkout sessions, payment authentication, fraud prevention, saved payment details, and transaction management. Google Pay, Apple Pay, or another payment method may involve its own provider when selected.
The checkout or management service presents its applicable terms, privacy information, and controls. Its processing can continue separately from a UniPaith browser session where needed for a transaction or legal obligation. Clearing UniPaith browser storage does not cancel a subscription, remove a saved payment method from Link, or delete transaction records. Use the appropriate subscription, payment provider, or privacy request process.
7 Your Controls
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings and clear information already stored. Controls commonly let you block certain cookies, delete site data, or restrict third party requests. The effect varies by browser and provider. Clearing or blocking essential storage can sign you out, remove locally saved preferences or drafts, and disrupt features.
Where we offer a consent or preference control, you can use it to change optional choices. Where applicable law requires us to honor a recognized opt out signal, we apply that requirement to the relevant processing. We do not promise that a browser “Do Not Track” setting has one uniform technical meaning across every service.
Marketing email choices are managed through the mailing list unsubscribe process, not a cookie switch. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are also separate actions. Contact help@unipaith.co if you cannot find a relevant control or need an accessible way to exercise a right.
8 Retention And Changes
Storage can last for a tab session, an authentication period, until a preference is replaced or cleared, or another period needed for its purpose. Security and transaction providers may retain related server records under their own notices and legal duties. We do not assign one universal lifetime to every cookie or storage value.
We review this notice as integrations change. Material new purposes will be explained before activation, with consent where required. The published notice will show the applicable version date. Pure Sunlight LLC can be contacted at help@unipaith.co.
