UniPaith Subscription Cancellation And Refund Policy

PrivacyTermsSubscriptions & RefundsCookies & TechnologyContent InformationSecurityAccessibility

1 Scope And Purchase Information

This policy explains paid membership purchases for the UniPaith App, including trials, renewals, cancellation and refunds. Website Blog posts are free to read in full without an account or subscription. Pure Sunlight LLC operates the UniPaith product. Read this policy together with the Terms of Service and the specific offer presented before you purchase.

Student Membership covers the student App. An active membership or active trial is required for the App's research content and features; sign-in, signup and account recovery, membership, billing and cancellation management, legal information and data-rights access remain available without a paid membership. Your offer identifies the included features, billing period, price, currency, trial and cancellation method. Membership does not automatically include every future product or feature, an institution service or professional advice. Mandatory consumer rights remain available.

2 Monthly And Annual Membership

The current US dollar base prices for UniPaith Student Membership are US$9.99 for a monthly billing period and US$89.99 for an annual billing period. Annual membership is charged for the year as one payment; the annual price is not a promise of twelve separately cancellable monthly installments.

Checkout and your confirmation identify the actual amount and currency for your purchase. Taxes, discounts, eligible local payment methods and local currency presentation may affect the total. Applicable taxes and the final amount must be shown before you authorize the purchase. A displayed base price is not a promise that every customer in every country will be charged the same tax-inclusive amount.

3 Stripe Managed Payments And Transaction Support

For an offer using Stripe Managed Payments, the merchant of record identified in checkout and on your receipt handles the transaction. Customers may see the purchase identified as Sold through Link. The payment terms and privacy notice shown by that service also apply to its transaction responsibilities. Pure Sunlight LLC remains responsible for the UniPaith product and the product support we provide.

Stripe or Link may handle applicable tax calculation and collection, receipts, payment authentication, fraud prevention, transaction support and disputes within the scope of that service. These arrangements do not mean that UniPaith has no product or legal responsibilities, or that one tax arrangement covers every country. Use the support route on your receipt for transaction questions, or contact help@unipaith.co for assistance with UniPaith access and product issues.

4 Free Trials

Both monthly and annual membership include a seven-day free trial for eligible students. An authorized payment card is required to start the trial. Before you confirm, checkout identifies the actual trial end, first scheduled paid charge, selected amount and billing interval, cancellation method and deadline for avoiding that charge. Use the actual dates recorded by the payment provider in checkout and your confirmation.

When you start the trial, you must give the recurring-payment authorization presented at checkout. Unless you cancel before the stated deadline, your authorized payment card is charged automatically after seven days for the selected monthly or annual membership. Membership then renews under the disclosed terms until cancelled. Account creation or visiting a page alone does not authorize these charges. If the payment method is unavailable or a charge fails, the subscription may pause or require further action as explained by the payment service.

Trial eligibility and any restriction on repeated trials must be explained with the offer. A trial is not a separate promise of an additional unconditional refund window after payment. It also does not remove a statutory withdrawal, refund or other consumer right. Do not assume that a trial reminder will arrive in time; the dates in your confirmation remain important.

5 Renewal And Payment Authorization

Unless you cancel or your offer expressly states otherwise, membership renews automatically for the same billing interval. A monthly membership renews monthly and an annual membership renews annually. Your checkout authorization permits the scheduled recurring charges under the disclosed terms. Additional consent or renewal notices will be obtained or provided where required.

Keep your billing information current. A payment failure may lead to payment retries, a request to update the payment method, and suspension of paid access under the payment service settings and the notices you receive. We do not promise one universal retry schedule or grace period. A failed payment does not by itself authorize deletion of your personal account data.

6 Cancel Future Renewal

Use the subscription management option available through the customer portal or the order management service linked to your receipt to stop renewal. If the normal option is unavailable or inaccessible, contact help@unipaith.co or the transaction support route on your receipt so that we can help record and process your request.

A valid cancellation is recorded to end the membership at the current paid or trial period end, as applicable, and prevents the next scheduled renewal or first post-trial charge. Access normally continues until that period ends. Cancel before the disclosed trial or renewal deadline to avoid the next scheduled charge. Paid access ends earlier if you request a stop with an unused-time refund or another lawful reason requires it. Keep the cancellation confirmation. A request validly received in time must not be defeated by our own processing delay.

Cancelling renewal alone does not automatically issue a refund. Unsubscribing from marketing email, logging out, removing an App shortcut or clearing browser storage does not cancel a subscription.

7 Refund Unused Paid Time

You may request that paid access end early and that the unused part of the current paid membership period be refunded. This voluntary unused-time refund applies to monthly and annual membership. It is separate from simply stopping the next renewal and does not require you to show that you failed to obtain an admission or other educational result.

We calculate the service refund from the membership amount actually paid for the affected period after discounts or credits, multiplied by the unused fraction of that period. The fraction uses the actual start and end times of the paid billing period and the effective time at which the corresponding paid access ends. We round the result to the supported currency precision, account for previous refunds, and do not refund more than was paid for that period. We do not retrospectively reprice elapsed annual time at the higher monthly rate or deduct a separate UniPaith cancellation fee.

The effective stop time is confirmed when the request is processed. If you request an immediate stop, we use receipt of a complete request as the requested effective time, subject to proportionate verification of the account and transaction. Our processing delay does not reduce the unused portion. The corresponding paid access ends at the effective time used for the refund; a refund does not leave the refunded access available for the remainder of the original period. Non-use before you ask to stop does not by itself backdate the request.

Contact help@unipaith.co or the support route on your receipt. Identify the account, transaction and whether you want to stop now with an unused-time refund or only cancel future renewal. Do not send a full card number. We may request limited information to verify the transaction and the payer's authority. Refunds are normally returned through the payment provider to the original payment method. If that is not technically possible, we will work with you on an appropriate lawful alternative. Bank processing and currency conversion can affect the time and amount visible on a statement.

Taxes and related adjustments are handled through the payment provider as required by the transaction and applicable law. The merchant's discretionary support arrangements do not replace UniPaith's unused-time refund promise or a mandatory legal remedy. Stripe or Link can also handle certain refund requests under its own transaction support rules.

8 Incorrect Charges And Service Problems

Tell us or the transaction support provider about a duplicate, incorrect or unauthorized charge, a purchase made without required guardian authorization, or a service that was not supplied as promised. We will investigate and provide any refund or remedy that is due. The unused-time formula does not cap a full refund, price reduction or other remedy required for such a problem or by applicable law.

We may verify a request and address fraudulent activity or repeated misuse proportionately. Doing so does not remove genuine cancellation, refund, payment dispute or consumer rights. You may also contact your payment provider about a transaction; avoid seeking duplicate reimbursement for the same amount.

9 Statutory Withdrawal And Digital Service Rights

Where EEA, UK or other applicable consumer law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance contract, that right remains available in addition to our unused-time refund. For an eligible EEA or UK service contract, the usual withdrawal period is 14 days from the conclusion of the contract, subject to the law that applies and a properly applicable exception. A seven-day trial or payment method setup does not itself waive that right.

If you request performance of an ongoing service during a statutory withdrawal period, a deduction for service already supplied is made only where the law permits it and the required request and disclosures have been provided. Immediate supply of digital content can affect withdrawal rights only when the applicable legal conditions are satisfied, including any required prior express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation. Merely visiting, reading a Blog post or accepting general terms is not treated as a universal waiver.

To exercise a withdrawal right, send a clear statement identifying the subscription and your decision to withdraw to help@unipaith.co or the relevant merchant support route. You do not need to use a special form. Where the purchase is subject to a requirement for an online withdrawal function, that function must also be available through the online purchase service; contacting support is an additional route, not a replacement for it. Statutory deadlines, repayment rules and remedies take priority where they provide a different or stronger right.

10 Plan Changes And Prices

A switch between monthly and annual billing is available only when an appropriate change option is offered. The current customer portal does not provide self-service plan switching. If you want a change, contact us before purchasing another subscription. The offered change must explain when the new plan starts and any charge, credit or refund. Do not assume that a switch is immediate or automatically prorated.

For a future price or renewal change, we will give the notice and obtain any consent required by the accepted terms and applicable law, and provide a way to avoid the new recurring charge by cancelling. We will not retrospectively increase the price for an already paid period. Any promotion or discount has the duration and conditions stated with that offer.

11 Younger Students And Authorized Payers

A student account is for a user aged at least 13, subject to any higher local requirement. Users aged 13 to 17 require a parent or legal guardian's express permission to use UniPaith. A guardian with legal capacity must expressly authorize the minor's paid subscription, use of the payment card and recurring charges. We may request proportionate information to establish age, identity or authority. A checkbox or self-attestation does not establish that age or guardian identity or authority has been independently verified.

An authorized payer can obtain appropriate billing help, request cancellation and raise a transaction concern. Payment does not automatically authorize access to the student's profile, essays, documents or conversations. Account sharing and verified guardian rights are handled separately under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12 Account Deletion And Access To Your Information

Cancelling membership does not delete your account. Requesting account deletion also instructs us to stop future subscription renewal. Billing cancellation must be handled separately from the account data deletion window; it is not postponed until permanent account cleanup. Obtain billing confirmation and contact us if a renewal remains scheduled.

Keep copies of information you need before deleting the account. Applicable data access, export, correction and deletion rights remain available when paid access ends. Billing, refund, tax and legally retained records can be handled separately from the account under the Privacy Policy and the transaction provider's responsibilities.
